The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency  and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have agreed on a joint venture to  a stabalization project to preserve  the Hudson & Manhatten Railroad Powerhouse in Downtown Jersey City ,an icon of Jersey City 's industrial past,located on Washington street between Bay Street and First street,it was built in 1908 and  is listed in the  National Register of Historic Places.The future of the  Powerhouse is envisioned to be a retail, entertainment and arts center.For more information you can visit www.jcpowerhouse.org
